About the CompanySafe Care Partners is a privately owned company that operates five Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF) in the Fort Worth area for adults with intellectual and development disabilities. Safe Care homes are independently licensed by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC).
Daily RoutineA primary focus of any ICF program is Active Treatment, which refers to the facility's objective to assist clients in developing greater independence. Following an annual functional skills assessment, residents engage in formal and informal training related to skills needed for everyday living. As part of that program, residents participate in routine household activities, such as cooking and cleaning, as well as activities such as structured exercise, vocational training, recreational activities, and church and community functions.
StaffClients are under the constant supervision of caring, trained Direct Care Staff. The role of staff is to teach, assist, and supervise clients in order to maximize each resident's independence while ensuring their health and safety. Each home is overseen by a House Manager. A Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) provides case management for residents, while a licensed RN oversees resident health. In addition to our on-staff professionals, we utilize a comprehensive team of contract professionals, including primary care physicians, specialists, dietitians, mental health professionals, pharmacists, and others.

Our HomesSafe Care homes are located in residential neighborhoods. Each home houses six residents, most of whom share a bedroom with another resident. The layout of the homes is similar to most single-family homes, with a common living area, kitchen and dining area, and shared or private bedrooms.
RecreationClients regularly participate in planned recreational activities, such as shopping, movies, bowling, church, community festivals, concerts, holiday events, and other indoor and outdoor activities.
MedicalEach resident receives comprehensive healthcare services overseen by an on-staff Registered Nurse. Residents receive an annual physical exam, regular dental care, annual vision screenings, and treatment/monitoring from various specialists as dictated by the individual's needs. Safe Care provides transportation to and from all medical appointments.
Family InvolvementSafe Care welcomes and encourages involvement from residents' families. Families and friends are welcome to visit residents in their home and/or remove their loved one from the home for outings or overnight visits. These activities can be coordinated through the Safe Care office to assure a smooth transition when departing and returning to the home.
